Alex and Korby Myrick performed a vocal and piano recital on January 21st, 2017 in the Rincon Friends of Music series.

Alex conducted Arizona Balalaika Orchestra on January 28th, 2017 in their annual winter concert of Russian music at Pima Community College.

On February 12th, 2017 St Michael’s Piano Quartet performed Schumann’s and Beethoven’s piano quartets in the St Philip’s Friends of Music series.

Alex worked as a staff pianist for the Heifetz International String Institute in the Summer of 2016 in Stanton, Virginia.

Alexander performed  a program of Brahms Violin Sonata, Schumann Fairy Tales and Faure  Piano Quartet Op. 15 with St. Michael’s Chamber players at St. Michael’s and All Angels Episcopal Church in Tucson on October 8, 2013.

On June 30th, 2013 Flute and Violin Duo “Alexander” performed all-Bach program in St. Andrew’s Bach Society Music Series at Grace St.Paul’s Episcopal Church in Tucson. They were also joined by the violinist Ben Nisbet for a Trio-Sonata in G Major.

On October 7, 2012 Alexander Tentser and Alla Voskoboynikova performed a new program of music by Schubert, Rossini and Gavrilin for a piano duet at Maryville University in St. Louis. On July 7th and 8th, 2012 Alexander performed Mozart’s Concerto #23 with Lake Placid Sinfonietta in North Creek and Lake Placid, NY. On June 17th, 2012 he performed a piano program of preludes and fugues by J.S. Bach and Dmitri Shostakovich and Beethoven’s piano sonatas Op. 13 and 110.

His 2010-2011 season highlights included: a solo piano recital dedicated to the 200th anniversary of Chopin, Schumann and Liszt, a recital dedicated to Russian piano music – Rachmaninoff, Scriabin, Tchaikovsky, and a violin/piano sonata #2 by Prokofiev with Anna Gendler, both concerts sponsored by the St Philip’s in the Hills Episcopal Church Music Series; Beethoven’s “Emperor” Piano Concerto performance with the Arizona Symphonic Winds; conducting Rincon Chamber Players in the program of Concerti Grossi by Corelli and Handel. Alexander also performed and conducted from the keyboard Piano Concerto in F Major by Joseph Haydn in the same program. In the summer Alexander performed as a pianist with the Lake Placid Sinfonietta in upstate New York including a quartet with the bandoneon virtuoso and master of tango Raul Jaurena. In the Fall of 2011 Alexander and Anna performed in the series of four chamber music concerts “Inspired by Brahms”. They performed Brahm’s Piano Trio in C Minor Op. 101 and Violin, Horn and Piano Trio in E flat Major.

In March of 2009 Alexander Tentser directed Jill Wieck Singers and Orchestra in the production of the “Esther” Oratorio by G. F. Handel. This is the earliest oratorio by Handel in English originally composed in 1729.

In the Summer of 2009 and 2010 Alexander conducted composition workshops for children and adults sponsored by the Tucson Symphony Women Association. He now teaches composition class for high scholl students during the academic year. Tentser joined the piano faculty of the Tucson Symphony Women Association in September of 2009.

In 2009 – 2010 season Alexander performed several programs with a flutist Sandy Schwoebel, and Daystar Piano Trio in St. Philip’s Episcopal Church Friends of Music Series.

Dr. Tentser began his work as Pianist/Organist at the Rincon Congregational Church in Tucson in January of 2010. In May of 2010 he performed a violin and piano recital with his wife Anna Gendler in Rincon Friends of Music series.
